General Business Development Manager

Job Desc:
Overall Role Purpose Meet or exceed the sales target from the Commercial stand point by promoting and selling an integrated Supply Chain Management solutions and services in order to generate profitable revenue growth for DSC
Specific Role:

  • Penetrating new potential customer and maintaining existing costumer
  • To assist BD Head in developing sector and product strategy

Specific Role Challenges:
Time to close a business Value of the closed business is too small Develop strategy to achieve the target
Accountabilities:
Impact :

  • Define schedule and strategy to develop the business pipeline
  • Develop and pursue a possibility business/client pipeline and keep this up to date with relevant information and data.
  • Keep updating data on customer pipeline in connexions

Overall goals :
Reasonable proposal to customerReal time information to RO on the pipeline
Customer External :

  • Deliver effective presentations to customer
  • Manage relationships with customers both new and existing where possible.

Problem Complexity / Process :

  • To secure new customers by identifying and developing potential customers, nurturing the relationship and recommending sales strategies.
  • To manage sales leads, generating sales leads and developing existing business opportunities specifically but not limited to the Contract Logistics and Domestic Transportation sector to achieve Country targeted revenue and margin
  • To update opportunity in DSC CRM system which includes but not limited to ConnexionsAlign with internal and external parties to ensure complete handover to Implementation Team.
  • Give support to Account Manager in customer service review meeting to gather feedback on service performance.
  • Follow up with functional areas for quality management and continuous improvement of operations in order to achieve corporate service performance goals.
  • Keep abreast with the development and the update of the market and customers' requirements for supply chain solutions/services.
  • Ensure all procedures and policies updated.Develop business opportunities within specified market areas of the industry.
  • Develop and implement an effective sales strategy using the tools provided.
  • Develop and pursue a strong business development pipeline and keep this up to date with relevant information and data.
  • Conduct sales calls and visits to develop new relationships with potential customers.
  • To work with other departments to help define solutions and business opportunities.
  • To work with tight deadlines as defined by business requirement.
  • To act as the front line sales representative for the Contract Logistics and Domestic TransportationContribute to the strategic development of the business.
  • To utilise resources efficiently to improve the ability of the company to win new business.
  • To work in a directly interfacing role with customer personnel as well as with the operations workforce.
  • Effectively managing time and schedules to optimize sales calls, and daily/month reporting routines.

  • Develop IKOs/KPIs with team members and monitor individual performance.

Skills / Qualifications:

  • The candidate will be expected to show and learn a general understanding of the entire business rather than just the logistics business itself
  • Excellent presentation skill
  • 3 years experience in sales or Business development, prefer from 3rd Party Logistics
  • Min. University Graduate from Engineering and or Economics, having post graduate is preferred
  • PREFERRED JAPANESE FLUENT, MOST PREFERRED JAPANESE NATIVE
